Tech: yes or no?

So, I've been thinking lately whether I should start writing about tech issues and developments once more. I'm not sure how many of you actually read those posts.

And if I do start writing about tech again, what kind of stuff should I write about? I'm aware that most of you guys aren't extremely tech-savvy, so I'm not sure if I should post up the more "advanced" stuff I come across while surfing.

I was thinking I might start writing a few articles explaining what various bits of tech are in layman terms, maybe a few tutorials of sorts explaining how you too can implement these things on your system/blog/whatever. Maybe talk about what these things are and why you should care (or not care).

What do you guys think?

I think it's your blog and you write about what interests you.

Only problem with that is the fact that reading about tech requires far less effort than writing about it. It's quite different from writing opinion pieces where I can pretty much just write whatever comes to my head. So if I'm going to spend the time thinking, researching and writing, it would be nice to know that at least some people are actually reading and getting some form of entertainment/benefit out of it, y'know?

I also don't want you to underestimate us. I may not be super tech-savvy, but I CAN and WILL do my own independent research. You can write about something and if I want to know what you mean (and I probably will), then I can look it up and read all about it.

Or you could just do the work for me, but be aware that you don't HAVE to.

Well... I, for one, DO read your tech posts. But, of course, I'll just skim through topics that is not of a big interest to me (for eg web development).

I'm more of a hardware (and certain softwares) person anyway and therefore, if you were to do a full review on topics of my interests, it will definitely attract me.

I guess what you want to write in this blog depends on your MAIN reason for having this blog. For me, a blog is a way to keep friends up to date about my life and hence, I'd just write anything that comes to my mind.

Once everyone go their separate ways in their working life, it just seems impossible at times to catch up...
